National approaches to open research: Nathalie Fargier presents HAL and Episciences

Wednesday April 30th 3pm AEST/5pm NZST

OAA is thrilled to be hosting Nathalie Fargier, Director, Center for Direct Scientific Communication (CCSD) who will be presenting on HAL, the multidisciplinary open archive of French research and Episciences, a complete platform for the publication of open access diamond journals.

HAL is a software and a multidisciplinary repository housing many different types of research output (articles published in peer-reviewed journals, conference papers, theses, preprints, software, etc.) and a shared platform for institutional archives. Episciences is a comprehensive platform for editing and publishing scientific journals, combined with an editorial support service. The platform offers a complete tool for managing, hosting and distributing journals.

Both these initiatives are hosted by the CCSD, whose mission is “Supporting research stakeholders by offering services for archiving, open access dissemination and promotion of scientific publications and data.”
