We are really delighted to welcome the new Open Access Australasia Executive Committee who were voted in by the Open Access Australasia members at the 2022 AGM.
The new committee represents a wealth of expertise and experience from across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia, with members having worked across the region and internationally. The new Chair is Kim Tairi, the Kaitoha Puka (University Librarian) at Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makaurau) Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
The six member Committee includes two members from Aotearoa New Zealand, Kim Tairi and Michelle Blake from the University of Waikato. The Australian members represent the spectrum of member institutions: Clare Thorpe from the Southern Cross University, Fiona Bradley from UNSW, Dimity Flanagan from the University of Melbourne and Dr Danny Kingsley from Flinders University, who was instrumental in setting the precursor to Open Access Australasia, AOASG.
Kim thanked the outgoing committee for their fantastic work over the last four years and welcomed the new Committee. The Executive are excited about the opportunity to work together and for our members.
