Welcome to the Open Access Australasia website

OA101 participants get creative and share resources with CC-BY

open access 101 badge logoOver four weeks during September and October we successfully ran the second iteration of our OA101 course with great engagement from 135 participants from 24 of our member institutions in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

During the course participants worked through four modules (one per week) getting to know the basics of Open Access and engaging with six experienced Open Access practitioner tutors via a Slack channel.

As the course ran in the lead up to Open Access Week students took the opportunity to create their own OA graphics from templates we provided, using the Canva graphics program.  We’ve added some of the great examples below.  The graphics are all Creative Commons licensed CC-BY which means users can distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator.

Our next course offering will be early in the New Year.  If you would like to know more about OA 101 and becoming a member of Open Access Australasia please contact us.
